Nachdem Ideen jeder hat, sind sie auch nichts wert, das sagt der Volksmund und Kreative kennen das Lied. Schade, damit tut man der Idee sehr unrecht.
“Was ist schon eine Idee?”
Ron Imelauer - Apr.20.2012 · 0 Kommentare

Google launches Julia Map on Google Labs, a fractal renderer in HTML 5
Google Labs launches Julia
Peter Aldag - Feb.01.2011 · 0 Kommentare
Google launched Julia Map on Google Labs, a fractal renderer in HTML 5. Julia sets are fractals that were studied by the French mathematician Gaston Julia in the early 1920s. Fifty years later, Benoît Mandelbrot studied the set z2 − c and popularized it by generating the first computer visualisation. Generating these images requires heavy computation resources. Modern browsers have optimized JavaScript execution up to the point where it is now possible to render in a browser fractals like Julia sets almost instantly.
Julia Map uses the Google Maps API to zoom and pan into the fractals. The images are computed withHTML 5 canvas. Each image generally requires millions of floating point operations. Web workers spread the heavy calculations on all cores of the machine.
We hope you will enjoy exploring the different Julia sets, and share the URLs of the most artistic images you discovered. See what others have posted on Twitter under hashtag #juliamap. Nobu Restaurant in the Spectacular Atlantis Resort on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah
Superb Interior Design

Nobu Dubai was an evolution of many of the concepts Rockwell Group developed for the flagship Nobu Fifty Seven in New York, such as the emphasis on craftsmanship, natural materials and storytelling. The textures and materials in this particular location were chosen to reflect the finely crafted cuisine and Nobu’s roots in the Japanese countryside, while also celebrating the Dubai beachfront context. To anchor the restaurant in its location, Rockwell Group surrounded the restaurant walls and ceilings with large hand-woven curvilinear abaca panels to evoke an environment submerged under an ocean wave, and added accents of traditional Middle Eastern vernacular architecture such as hand-wrought iron columns of flowers, leaves and buds.

#2 album of the year: Caribou “Swim”
Marc Dienewald - Dec.30.2010 · 0 Kommentare
Don’t let the name fool you. This is not Ethno World Music or Happy Caribbean Steeldrum Sound. This is psychedelic electronic singer-songwriter kraut pop…with an experimental twist and a little dub, too
. Swim is a really outstanding album by Canadian mastermind Daniel Snaith who is based in London now. Amazing music that doesn’t chum up with anybody. Check out Jamelia and Odessa and the goddamn rest of the album! Easy and well done. This is what 2010 sounds like! This is what we all wanted the Hot Chip album to be like
Our album of the year 2010 if there wasn’t the other one that will be shown tomorrow! Frogfisher says: Hey man, this was a good year! Listen to and buy Caribou on iTunes. read complete article…
